GI Ducting
GI Ducting
The complete ventilation system is composed of the exhaust hood system and the make-up air system (Fresh Air System). The exhaust hood system removes grease vapour and smoke from indoor while the make-up air system provides approximately equal amount of fresh air into the kitchen. Most health department require certain amount of fresh outdoor air to be part of the replacement air.
Exhaust Blower :
Types of Blower :
1) CENTRIFUGAL BLOWER FORWARD CURVE – DIDW
2) CENTRIFUGAL BLOWER BACKWARD CURVE- SISW Features:
1) CENTRIFUGAL BLOWER FORWARD CURVE – DIDW
2) CENTRIFUGAL BLOWER BACKWARD CURVE- SISW Features:
- Centrifugal flow Fans are used in kitchen to exhaust the flue gas through duct.
- Fans are available in belt drive and direct mounted operation.
- Fans are available in wide range of combination from “to” impeller diameter.
- Motor rating is available from 0.37 Kw for 2, 4 Et 6 poles versions.
- Fans impellers are made of high grade mild steel material.
- Impellers have aerofoil design, and are dynamically balanced.
- High grade shaft material and spherical roller bearing are used for smooth operation.
- Fan Casing is made of heavy gauge MS Sheet having robust construction.
Axial Flow Fan:
Features:
- Axial Flow Fans are used in kitchen to exhaust the flue gas.
- Wall mounted and duct mounted fans are available.
- Axial Flow Fans are available in wide range of combination of impeller diameter.
- Motor rating is available from 0.37 kW for 2, 48- 6 poles versions.
- Fans impellers are made of high grade mild steel material.
- Impeller have aerofoil design with adjustable pitch angle, Er are dynamically balanced.
- Fan impeller can be directly mounted on motor shaft. (Direct mounted)
- Fan Casing is made of heavy gauge MS Sheet having robust construction.
- It has flanges at both ends for easy fixing on ducts/walls.
Exhaust Blower :
Features:
- Ducting are made out of 20/22/24 galvanized steel sheet.
- Supported with MS angle and threaded GI rods and bolted with GI suitable nut bolt.
- Joints between two ducting flanges are fitted with double sided tape to avoid air leakages.
- Another aspect of the design challenge relates to installation of the exhaust ductwork and the potential to increase the static pressure above the design value.
- Duct work could have direct impact on hood capture performance.
